Creating a File Gallery

Before you can start uploading files, you must create file gallery that will contain the files.
#From the File Galleries menu in the Menu module, click List Galleries.

  1. The Galleries page lists all of the galleries on the site. Currently, there are none — let's create one now.

  2. Click Create a file gallery.
  3. Use the Create a File Gallery page to create a new gallery.

    The Create a Gallery page allows you to specify the options for a specific file gallery.
  4. Enter the following information in each field on the Properties tab:
    • Name: Enter a name for this gallery.
    • Description: Enter a detailed description of this gallery.

    Leave the other fields as their default.
    NoteNote:
    Be sure that Type is set as Any file — this will allow you to upload images, documents, etc. If you want to store podcasts (audio or video), you must select the specific Type.
  5. Click the Display Properties tab.

    Use the Display Properties tab to specify the information that appears when viewing the gallery.
  6. Click Save. Tiki saves the information, then displays the gallery (because the View Inserted Gallery option was selected, by default.)
